Properties
Addressing the child within * playfulness, carefree

An Australian Native Flower

"If I had my life to live over, I would start barefoot earlier in the spring and stay that way later in the fall. I would go to more dances. I would ride more merry-go-rounds. I would pick more daisies" - Nadine Staire IF I HAD MY LIFE TO LIVE OVER

This remedy addresses the child within us all, whether we are adults or still children. It can help produce an expression of playfulness and carefree, spontaneous joy - simply being. It can be given to children who are growing up much too quickly and who tend to take on the troubles of the world. It is also appropriate for children who watch a lot of television or listen to the news, since much of what they see or hear concerns negative events. Their picture of the world is coloured by what the media presents to them, so that they perceive it as a very sombre place full of grief, destruction and negativity. Little Flannel Flower helps them recapture their innocence and childlike playfulness. And of course, the most effective way for children to learn is through playing games.

Little Flannel Flower is a good remedy for adults, especially parents, allowing them to lose some of their inhibitions and to play, enjoy themselves and have fun with children and other adults. Of course, if people are in tune with their gut feelings, they will normally be able to experience the fun and joy of life and will realise that life is not a serious battle. This remedy helps people "trust the dance" and have a lot of fun along the way. Any adult with a rigid mind will end up with a rigid body. Spontaneity and lightness is often lacking in people with physical stiffness, such as arthritis, or heaviness. Little Flannel Flower has allowed many people to feel and look much younger.

This remedy is also very important for connecting small children with their spirit guides and giving them an awareness of the spiritual realm around them. Most children are very psychic and clairvoyant at an early age, yet they learn that it is simply not acceptable to perceive such things. When they do not use their abilities, they eventually lose them, especially when parents/adults tell them they are making up stories or that they are lying. They then begin to feel they are doing something wrong. Spirit guides help to guide and direct us. Many of our gut feelings are actually the nurturing of spirit guides. The individual still has to have experiences and learn from them, but life can be much easier when the guide's promptings are heeded. Guides are ready to help us learn our lessons quickly and experience life with as little pain and anguish as possible. If more children maintained contact with their guides, the benefits to our community and our quality of life would be quite staggering. They would also be greatly increased if there were more happy and playful adults able to have fun.
