The essence of the Geebung appeals to the intellect/ego to break away from old thought forms and unconscious patterns that have been carried into this life from past life experiences and may create limitations in this incarnation.

The yellow/gold colour of the flowers reflect the intellect and is connected also with the will or Solar Plexus chakra.

The Doctrine of Signatures of both the flowers and the tree trunk appear to explain the healing properties of the Geebung. The long buds are yellow and have a tightly closed form, not appearing to have the ability to open up at all. Then the buds burst open, curling the petals right back as if in one swift movement, to reveal their exquisite tiny flowers, and thus revealing their inner beauty and the joy of freedom from the limitations.

The tree trunk appears old and gnarled with its thin papery bark peeling away to reveal a beautiful brilliant red colour underneath the dark outer exterior; a reflection of humanity, having become gnarled over the many lifetimes but now is peeling away the outer layers of experiences.

The colour red connects us with the Earth energies keeping you grounded whilst reaching for your higher Spiritual aspirations. It is a vibrant colour creating the energy to pursue your Spiritual goals and aspirations in this present life's experience; goals that have been set before coming into incarnation.

The bright yellow/green colour of the leaves has a healing hue that, together with the yellow of the flowers, connects the Heart Chakra (healing, growth and love) with the Solar Plexus Chakra (Will, self-confidence) and the intellect, creating a balance and harmony; hence inner peace.
